Three hunters of humans meet for the ultimate showdown at the TRUCK STOP.
Taylor is a recreational killer, with dozens of grisly murders under his belt. He pulls into a busy Wisconsin truck stop at midnight, trolling for the next to die.
Chicago Homicide cop Jacqueline “Jack” Daniels is a long way from home, driving to meet her boyfriend for a well-earned vacation. She pulls into the truck stop for a quick cup of coffee and stumbles into her worst nightmare.
Jack’s no stranger to dealing with psychos, but she’s got her hands full trying to stop Taylor. Especially since he’s getting help from someone just as deadly; a portly serial maniac named Donaldson…

Serial Killers and truck stops just seem to go together.
Truck Stop will show you just what haunts them. There’s not just one serial killer biding their time, waiting for their next delicious victim. Imagine them plotting together, working together, and trying to one up each other.
In walks a woman. A homicide cop who thinks she knows all about serial killers. She’s minding her own business and stops in for a cup of java to keep her awake on the road. What happens next is a trip down the deepest, darkest rabbit hole.
Taylor liked toes. He wasn’t a pervert. At least, not that kind of pervert. Taylor didn’t derive sexual gratification from feet. Women had other parts much better suited for that type of activity. But he was a sucker for a tiny foot in open-toed high heels, especially when the toenails were painted. Painted toes were yummy.
When I started on this book, I was expecting some horror, some grime but I couldn’t have imagined a guy with a food fetish would end up actually eating a truck stop’s prostitute’s toes.
Her little toe came off surprisingly easy, no harder than nibbling the cartilage top off a fried chicken leg.
Taylor watched the blood seep out as he chewed on the severed digit — a blood and gristle-flavored piece of gum — and then swallowed.

The grimy parts continue as the serial killer goes into the nearby diner to get some food and immediately gets noticed by another dude who also happens to be a serial killer. They trade notes and kill counts and decide to go tag team on a hot female cop who just happened to go there that evening for her dinner.
She gets kidnapped and along with the prostitute earlier fight for their escape before they become victims.
The pace is good, the gore is high and I really like it when they use smart characters in a book – it really shows skills used to get out of a tough predicament.
