TRYST SIX VENOM is a standalone, new adult, bully romance suitable for readers 18+
The princess thinks I’ll scratch her itch. She thinks she’s still pure as long as it’s not a guy touching her. I told her to stay on her side of town. I told her not to cross the tracks. But one night, she did. And when I’m done with her, she’ll never be pure again.
I was a bit put off at the 425 page count thinking I might not have enough time this weekend to finish it, but I thought what the hell, might as well spend my lunch break reading a bit and then continuing after work.
I close my eyes, soaking up all the phone cameras recording us and the pictures that would survive of Clay Collins long after I’m gone. Images that will show who I am far louder than I can ever say in words.
Homecoming Queen.
Prom Queen.
Omega Chi sweetheart, and something nice to look at.
That’s me.
I open my eyes, immediately seeing myself in the window of a parked car at the curb. I bring up my hand, pushing the lock of blonde hair back in place.
We all have to be something, I guess.
The book was pretty boring for me. Yes, it had some lesbian action, some strong females, a lot of lip-licking, some brothers fucking things up and a guy with a knife. I would have loved this book under normal circumstances as it offered everything I was interested in: sex and violence. But there was something about the first-person POV writing that made the main character so, so dislikeable. I couldn’t read through her thoughts, her actions seemed rash and I was just feeling my skin crawl whenever she came up with a brand new way of saying how sexy someone else was.
Cringe.
I’ll try some other books of this author to see if the book was the issue for me or the writing.
