Echo – The Saga of Maya Lopez (Comics)

It appears Disney is doing a bit of indigenous – Marvel. In an attempt to swoon with a differently abled female-led super-hero, they have picked up on deaf Maya Lopez, who mistakenly thinks Daredevil killed her father. When she learns the truth, she goes on a vengeance trip to kill Kingpin Fisk. I’ve read the comics over the winter break and while the art is good, I think the adaptation might suffer from what all of the Disney + shows seem to suffer from – a market over-saturation.

Actors Chaske Spencer, left, and Devery Jacobs star in the upcoming Marvel/Disney+ series Echo. (CBC)

What I want to share today is the artwork. I loved the artwork, the watercolours, the movements, the introduction of wolverine, the elders. They did well.
