The government was dead wrong. Deep under the cities, the Variants weren’t just hiding, they were breeding. They talk about General Cornelius and his army, he has two thousand people in his command, which is two Battalions. Not many trained fighters. Twice they mentioned there were tens of thousands of people to be saved. Most of those people should be carrying a rifle and be trained in infantry tactics. To stay alive, people have to be able to defend themselves and others. They should be using rifles that fire the 7.63 NATO cartridge. Thousands of rounds going down range during an attack is much more devastating than a few hundred rounds. Guarantee you can kill a Varients quicker and easier with the 7.62 round. There should have been thousands of Grenades available. They should have been making Mortors too. The defenders don’t seem to have Artillery either. Why not? There must have been thousands of Collaborators too. Hope Sammy survives.
