Day 19 — The film that best describes how my day-to-day life feels is…
Ohohoo – what it means to schedule your posts in advance. Here’s what I would have written just 5 days ago!
Can I pick a TV series? It’s like Dharma and Greg (a clutz and a serious businessy dude live together and have many fun things happening to them because of their oh-so-different personalities). I love my boyfriend with a passion. And he loves me back!
I have done terrible things to him, terrible, terrible, so bad I can’t even say them here. Besides cooking unedible food, I usually have difficulties in spotting the last red sock in the pile of white shirts (and now he wears pinkish shirts to work), I almost burned the house down on one occasion and I bumped his convertible on the only occasion (and last occasion as well) that I went out (Bill was £465 for a scratch). I also managed to hit him where it hurts most (in the nuts) about 6 times (all unintentional) and I split his lip when trying to demonstrate my self defence techniques.
He’s a really great guy and sometimes I think that the only reason he’s still with me is because of the awesome out-of-this-world bed compatibility we share!

Now, the game has changed a little and I would say the movie that suits me and my life best at this moment:
Sita sings the blues – a gorgeous movie about the story of Rama and Sita and their breakup heartache. The movie starts off really joyfully, with her singing about her love life (music is from the 1920’s Annette Henshaw) and then it creeps into uncertainty and doubt when she is captured by a rival and not considered pure anymore. She is pregnant with Rama (her husband) but because of the doubt, she casts her away in the middle of the forest (cruel bastard) so she can live there for the rest of her life with her “bastards”. She raises the kids and one day when hunting, Rama hears them singing and when he sees them he can’t say anymore that they are not his.
He runs to her and asks her to return but she decides to forgive him and become one with mother nature (basically not return to him as life alone has taught her the meaning of self worth).
